Center Mountain sits on the Continental Divide and has over 1,000 feet of prominence. Michael Darcy wrote: “A beautiful mountain on its own, it is nevertheless overshadowed by its high-profile neighbors on the Divide to the northwest: Freeman Peak, Monument Peak, and the Sacajawea Peaks.” Center Mountain is located just southeast of the Sacagawea Peaks on the Continental Divide in the Beaverhead Mountains. It can be reached on public land via the West Wimpey Creek Road and a lengthy scramble up over Skytop Peak to its south. USGS Bohannon Spring
