Erik craves backpacking, hiking, skiing and snowshoeing or, for that matter, any self-propelled outdoor adventure. As a peakbagger, he especially enjoyed Winter ascents until he suffered a climbing injury to his right knee in 2011 while climbing the steep slopes of Granite Mountain. Never one to quit, Erik rediscovered his lost love for mountain biking in 2014. Today, Erik satisfies his obsessive adventure cravings by exploring Idaho’s mountains on his bike, pedaling up peaks when possible. He enjoys discovering and riding where others have not and sharing his experiences. Erik was the first person to link together all 4 Grand Slam Peaks in a sustained push. Erik’s most recent contributions include 3 overlooked Boise Mountains summits: Thorn Peak, Rabbit Peak and Hoodoo Peak.
