Midway Mountain sits on the main Lemhi Range crest roughly midway between the range’s two most dominant peaks, Bell Mountain and Diamond Peak. Rick Baugher made the first recorded ascent though he has not shared his route information.
Larry Prescott climbed the peak on an epic 13-mile, 7,300-foot elevation gain, 6-peak day, which saw him traverse the peak from Little Brother to the south to Peak 10,681 to the north. This route is detailed in his trip report: Lemhi Enchainment, Little Sister to Foss Mountain.
Class 2 via Larry’s route.
