“The Cube” resides between “The Wall” and “Mystery Mountain” as viewed from the east and at the head of Crooked Creek. The square summit block stands out like a sore thumb from many places in the valley including when directly underneath or nearby. Not sure who gets credit for a first ascent, most likely one of the early McGowan Peak climbers due to their proximity and similar rating. USGS Stanley Lake
