Access
Access is to this peak is a bit complicated and I suggest you have a Payette NF map along for the drive as there are a number of road junctions along the way. Access starts north of McCall on the Goose Creek/Hazzard Lake Road, FSR-257 [(B)(1) Pages 134-135] which is the turn for the Brundage Ski Resort. Follow this road north to it s junction with FSR-281. Turn onto FSR-281 and follow it along Brundage Reservoir to its junction with FSR-451. Continue north on FSR-451 to its junction with FSR-446, Granite Lake Road. Continue on toward Granite Lake to a junction with FSR-1520. Turn onto 1520 and park at its end.
North Ridge, Class 2
Read John’s trip report to get a flavor of this crosscountry hike. John pointed out that “This is a brushy, forested hike, with very short sight lines. Know your map skills, or carry a GPS.”
