Access
Same as for Peak 6397.
West Face Approach, Class 1
The Climb
From the campsite, follow BLM-609/Sheep Creek Spring Road as it heads north then northeast then southeast (past signed “Sheep Creek Spring”) then northeast to reach a signed road junction on the ridge crest. Go left/north at this final junction and hike about 0.2 miles north to a large water tank. Continue briefly north on the road as it drops to a smaller, dry water tank at the base of the west face.
Southwest Face, Class 2
The Climb
Leave the road to pass the water tank and cross an old cattle fence, dropping 15 vertical feet on the way. Bushwhack northeast straight up the hill to the summit. The sagebrush and other veg is thick but there are gaps and old cattle trails to help you reach much easier, shorter, gapped scrub midway up the face. The summit is bare and has a decent summit cairn.
