The Climb

From the ridge hump (which has a few pine trees and bouldersthat make it somewhat unique) at the juncture that connects Peak 7036 to Peak 7777, descend southwest to an open scrub/grass saddle (with two points of equal depth). From there, bushwhack west up through medium-thick sagebrush and other veg to reach the small, open summit of Peak 7036. The peak has a decent summit cairn atop the sagebrush-covered summit area. Return to the primary north-south ridge at the aforementioned ridge juncture. This concludes the first leg of today’s 2-peak journey. Peak 7777 is up next.
