Access

Owinza Road (unsigned) is located along ID-24 east of US-93 exactly 10.2 miles east of Dietrich and 30.4 miles west of Minidoka. From ID-24, drive southwest up Owinza Road for 1.1 miles to an unsigned junction (4,278 feet) and park.

Northwest Face, Class 1

The Climb

From the unsigned junction, hike southeast up an old 2-track road (narrow but drivable for a 4WD with medium clearance) to reach a saddle at a water tank. Continue left/east up the road to the rocky summit of Owinza Butte. The east summit is the high point. It is a barely perceptible hump when viewed from a distance.
