Packrat’s Northeast Ridge Route and its summit block are one of the classic Sawtooth climbs. Below are a few photos of the climb.

The summit block is the crux for most climbers on this technical peak. There is a link below to a YouTube video by Tom Burton, who climbs the block without any technical gear. I struggled up the summit block after we through a rope over the summit and used it as an upper belay. After watching the Burton video, I wonder how he does it so easily. Obviously, he is a confident climber.
