Access

The easiest access to this peak is from the south via Hunter Creek [same approach as for “Red Meridian”].

South Ridge, Class 2

Whether you choose to follow the trail to Hunter Creek Summit or leave the trail at 8,600’ for a more direct line, the remainder of the route is Class 2 with some ups and downs. One rugged section of the ridge leading to the summit is easily skirted. The alternative options—Bowery Creek Trail from the northwest or East Pass Creek Trail from the northeast—entail much greater distance and elevation gain.
