Elevation: 7,201 ft
Prominence: 421

This peak is not in the book.
Peak 7201 sits just northeast of the Hawley Mountain Lookout on the north end of the Boise Ridge. Climb this peak from Hawley Mountain which sits just to the southwest and is reached by road. Park just below the lookout and follow the ridge northeast, down to the connecting saddle. From there, find a game trail which will first take you into a gully on the South Face and then veer to your left up through a band of thick brush.
This trail tops out a bit northwest of the summit. Turn right and climb to the summit. You will lose roughly 450 vertical feet descending to the saddle and climb just under 500 vertical feet to reach the top. It is a 3.0-mile round trip hike. Jon Fredland placed a register on the summit in 2011. The view from the top is almost as good as the view from the Hawley Mountain Lookout. USGS Banks
