Peak 8482 is located south of Warren, Idaho above Bear Lake and between the Secesch River and the South Fork Salmon River. This area is seldom visited but is well worth the effort. USGS Pony Meadows

Access
From Warren, Idaho drive southeast on FS-340 for 1.6 miles. Turn left/south on FS-359. Follow FS-359 to the Bear Lake Trailhead in roughly 4.5 miles.
North to South Ridge Traverse, Class 1
In 2019, John Platt traversed the peak from north to south. His route follows FST-129 to the ridgeline north of the summit and then follows a beautiful ridge trail (FST-128) south to the summit. He descended by following FST-128 south to its junction with FST-079 which returns to Bear Lake. His loop route measured 7.9 miles with 1,787 feet of elevation gain.
