Access

To access Peak 9127, take the Stanley Lake Creek Trail/ FST-640 [(B)(2)(a) on Page 208] for about 4 miles. Not far past the trail to Bridal Veil Falls, head west uphill to gain a ridge line south of Hanson Lakes and then descend into the cirque on the east side of the peak. Another option is to take the trail to Hanson Lakes. Either option involves significant cross-country travel.

Northeast Ridge, Class 2+

From either Hanson Lakes or the Stanley Lake Creek Trail, work your way into the cirque from the ridge and take the Northeast Ridge to the summit. From the Lower Hanson Lakes, hike southwest into the cirque due east of Peak 9127. From the cirque, climb to the top of the peak’s Northeast Ridge. Follow the ridge to the summit. The summit has excellent views of McGown Peak. My round trip distance was 12.9 miles with 2,830 feet of elevation gain.
