Sheep Mountain sits on the 20 mile long Sheep Divide which forms the western boundary of the East Fork Salmom River canyon. Due to private property issues and stream crossing dangers bagging this big peak is not an easy chore. Nevertheless, because of it’s p2k status it is a popular goal. With good weather it is possible the traverse from Peak 10883 over Bowery Peak to Sheep and back beginning at the Bowery Creek trailhead.
