Sheep Mountain 10910

Elevation: 10,910 ft
Prominence: 2,290

Climbing and access information for this peak is on Page 232 of the book.

Sheep Mountain sits on the 20-mile long Sheep Divide which forms the western boundary of the East Fork Salmon River canyon. Due to private property issues and stream crossing dangers, bagging this big peak is not an easy chore. Nevertheless, because of it’s p2k status, it is a popular goal. With good weather, it is possible to traverse from Peak 10883 over Bowery Peak to Sheep Mountain and back, beginning at the Bowery Creek trailhead. Please note that the website uses the current elevation estimate of 10,910 feet, a slight difference from the book. USGS Bowery Peak
