Climbing and access information for this peak is on Page 298 of the book.

May Mountain takes a long day to climb. It is, perhaps, the most interesting summit in the Northern Lemhi Range. The route described in the book is a classic mixture of a forested ascent up steep slopes to a skyline ridge which approaches the convoluted summit ridge with multiple obstacles. The photos below provide some perspective. The book describes a route from the west and the peak’s South Ridge. To climb the peak from the east and peak’s East Ridge, see Dan Saxton’s route description and photos. USGS May Mountain
