MLD AZ Benchmark is located at the south end of the Pleasantview Hills in a cluster of peaks that include MLD Benchmark and Peak 7217. USGS Ireland Springs

Access and Route, Class 1
Primary access for this peak from ID-38, 0.5 miles west of Holbrook Summit. Turn onto the well-constructed gravel road that leads to the FAA facility on the summit of MLD Benchmark (see the map below). The road leads to a 6,654-foot saddle on the peak’s northwest side. A 4WD road leaves the main road at this saddle and climbs to the electronic facilities on the peak’s summit. Note that there are several tight switchbacks on the main road that could cause problems for passenger cars. If you do not have a 4WD vehicle, park at the junction and walk to the top. The 4WD road climbs to the top in 0.75 miles and gains 500 feet in elevation along the way.
