Access

Take Pole Creek Road [(A)(1) on Page 228] from either the north or south to the base of Peak 9928’s long South Ridge, where an unmapped road leads a short distance to the starting point shown below. Park here.

South Ridge, Class 2

From your parking spot at the base of the South Ridge, head uphill to the northwest. Heading northeast will also gain the same ridge. Follow the ridge east to reach the South Ridge and then head uphill to a high point south of the peak. Drop down 100+ feet before heading uphill to the summit. The views of the White Cloud Mountains and nearby ranges are excellent. Peak 9928 can also be done via the West Ridge or from Horton Peak. The summit is 3.0 miles and 2,900 vertical feet above the starting point.
