Peak 8762 (Bull Horn Mountain)

Elevation: 8,762 ft
Prominence: 742

This peak is not in the book.

Bull Horn Mountain is located northeast of Bull Trout Point and due east of Idaho 21 and the northernmost Sawtooth peak, Copper Mountain. The peak is relatively quick ascent from the highway. Park in the large pull out on the west side of the highway at Newman Creek in the summer or at the point where the road to Bull Trout Lake leaves the highway during the winter. Hike northwest toward the peak aiming for a saddle north east of the summit at 7,877 feet. Follow the ridge southwest to the saddle from this point.
