Elevation: 9,505 ft
This peak is not in the book.
This unnamed Salmon River Peak sits west of Peak 9446 which in turn sits west of Woodtick Summit. The most efficient way to climb this peak appears to follow the ridge from Woodtick Summit over Peak 9446 and climb the peak from the adjoining saddle. I have only viewed the route from a distance and note that the route may run into difficult terrain. The peak can be climbed from the Cache Lakes basin up its southeastern slopes with little difficulty.
I note that the USGS quad shows a trail climbing and ending near the summit from the northwest. I have no idea if this trail still exists.
Woodtick Summit is reached by trail from the end of the Sleeping Deer Mountain Road (see the Sleeping Deer Mountain page for access information). USGS Sleeping Deer Mountain
