Wilson Peak sits northeast of Snowbank Mountain and the main West Mountains Crest. The peak is best accessed from Snowbank Mountain Road. Although the maps show a good trail system leading to the peaks South Slopes, the trail system leaves a lot to be desired. The two trailheads leaving the road were not signed and, in 2016, the trails were intertwined with numerous cattle trails. On the bright side, the land between the road and Wilson Peak is mostly open meadow which can be easily traversed. USGS Tripod Peak
