Wilson Peak 7865

Elevation: 7,865 ft
Prominence: 455

Climbing information for this peak is found on page 106. Published September 2016

Wilson Peak sits northeast of Snowbank Mountain and the main West Mountains‘ crest. The peak is best accessed from the Snowbank Mountain Road. Although the maps show a good trail system leading to the peaks southern slopes the trail system leaves a lot to be desired. The two trailheads leaving the road were not signed and in 2016 the trails were intertwined with numerous cattle trails. On the bright side, the land between the road and Wilson Peak is mostly open meadow which can be easily traversed.
