Ryan grew up in Pocatello and has been exploring the local mountains since childhood. After climbing Borah Peak in 2011, he developed a deep love for peak bagging and has since summited numerous peaks across Idaho and abroad. His experiences completing all of Idaho’s 12,000-foot peaks led him to write “Idaho Twelvers”, a guidebook focused on safely climbing the state’s highest summits. He later published “Pocatello Trail Guide” to help more people discover the extensive trail system in Bannock County. Ryan’s contributions to this site include the North Ridge of Slate Mountain, Kinport Peak via Cusick Creek Road, and the Northwest Ridge of Chinese Peak. When he is not on the trails or filming them with his drone, he is usually overanalyzing movies or collecting trophies on his PlayStation.
